Setup and use voicemail

Checking Voicemail

Your phone’s Voicemail button should take you to your mailbox if you have IP phones configured via VoicePulse’s provisioning server.

If your phone does not have this button, or if you want to check another extension’s voicemail, dial * + Extension. You can also dial *5000 to access the Voicemail Hub, where you will be prompted to enter a mailbox number and password.

Viewing Mailbox Settings

After logging into your VoicePulse account:

  • Click the Services tab along the top of the page
  • On the left, click Mailboxes
  • Click the mailbox for your extension

Changing Your Greeting

This can be done via the website, but the easiest way to do it is via your phone.

  • Dial your voicemail access code (see the top of this article).
  • Enter your PIN. If you don’t know your PIN, you can reset it by following the instructions below.
  • Press 0 for advanced mailbox options.
  • Follow the prompts to record your greeting(s).

If you have a recording in WAV or MP3 format that you’d like to use, you can upload it to be used as your greeting. Follow the “Viewing Mailbox Settings” section above and, once in your mailbox settings, click the “Select File” option next to the greeting you want to replace.

We have some generic recordings you can download and use at the following link: Recordings for use in Voicemail, Queues, or Auto Attendants

Changing Your PIN

If you know your PIN, you can change it from your phone.

  • Dial your voicemail access code (see the top of this article).
  • Enter your PIN.
  • Press 0 for mailbox options.
  • Press 5 to change your PIN.

If you do NOT know your PIN, you can set a new one through the website.

  • Follow the “Viewing Mailbox Settings” section above to bring up your mailbox settings.
  • At the top of the page, enter your new PIN next to “Password” and “Confirm Password.” You PIN must consist of only the digits 0-9, and must be 4 digits in length.

  • Enter your email address next to “Email to Notify”

To get notifications sent to your phone via SMS (which will contain a shorter message and no attachment):
